Having practiced Radiology for over 23 years in three continents, to Dr. Ifthikharuddin radiology is more than just a job, it’s a passion. After finishing her diagnostic radiology training at the prestigious University of Wales, she completed an additional diagnostic radiology residency at University of Rochester prior to completing a neuroradiology fellowship. An expert in all aspects of neuroimaging, Dr. Ifthikharuddin has been section chief of neuroradiology for years, teaching numerous residents over the years. In addition to her own research and publications, she has helped guide residents in their research endeavors as well. She has presented at national radiology conferences on neuroradiology topics, and enjoys being at the center of the rapid advancements in MRI neuroimaging over the past decade.
Dr. Ifthikharuddin and her husband, Dr. J.J. Ifthikharuddin, a hematologist at the University of Rochester Medical Center, have two children. She loves traveling, tennis, cooking, and spending time with family.
