Dr. Van Sickel completed both his medicine and radiology training in Rochester at Rochester General Hospital and was Chief Resident in Radiology the final year of his residency training. As the former Program Director of the Radiology Residency Program at RGH and the course director of Radiology for RIT, Dr. Van Sickel for many years guided the training of future radiologists and physician’s assistants. Currently, Dr. Van Sickel is the President of Rochester Radiology Associates, is the Chairman of Ambulatory Imaging for Rochester Regional Health, and serves as the Medical Director of the Mobile Mammography Center. Although Dr. Van Sickel’s main focus is breast imaging and intervention, he has a broad range of specialty interests within the field of radiology, including specialized ultrasound, women’s imaging, emergency radiology and abdominal/body imaging including genitourinary radiology and CT colonography/virtual colonoscopy.
Dr. Van Sickel lives in Victor, NY with his wife of 30 years, and they have two children.
